Bio

Serena is an Associate on the Internet / Consumer team. She joined Apax in 2023 and is currently based in New York.

Prior to joining Apax, Serena was a member of Lazard's Consumer & Retail group, where she worked on M&A and restructuring transactions.

Serena graduated magna cum laude from the University of Chicago, where she received a BA in Economics.

Living our values

As a coxswain for six years, I loved rowing not just for the peacefulness of being on the water or the adrenaline rush before a race, but for the camaraderie and goal-focused environment that came with the team. With teamwork and unity, each stroke was more effective and efficient in moving the boat forward. ‘We succeed as one global team’ resonates with me because it reminds me that everyone in a boat, whether figurative or literal, is pulling in the same direction, towards a shared goal.

Serena's Story

Growing up, Serena’s mother told her that “there are no traffic jams along the extra mile,” and she has been finding that to be true ever since. Serena was attracted to Apax to collaborate with and learn from others who clearly embody this same mentality and considers herself lucky to work alongside incredibly tenacious, intelligent, and kind people every day. Serena is passionate about investing and is led by her enthusiasm for and curiosity about consumer behavior and products.
